Filler and autologous fat

Fillers and minimally invasive therapies are procedures to compensate for age-related volume loss and restore youthfulness with minimal downtime.Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of our body that binds water and activates collagen production, making the skin look young and fresh.

Fillers do not replace a facelift or other aesthetic plastic surgery procedure, as is often marketed. Rather, fillers should be seen as a powerful complement to the treatment tools available in the aesthetic field and can smooth and fill wrinkles to a certain extent without surgery.

However, if the effects of age-related gravity or volume loss are too advanced, surgical tightening is recommended. A soft but sagging face does not appear youthful or attractive. These patients benefit greatly from a face-neck lift with fat transfer to restore volume.

Depending on your skin quality and anatomy as well as your individual wishes, we select the filler and the appropriate minimally invasive procedure. The aim of filler and minimally invasive anti-ageing therapy is to restore volume and skin quality in harmony with your facial harmony and a beautiful, natural appearance.

Dr. Winterholer uses products from Juvederm.

There are also the body’s own fillers, our fatty tissue. Lipofilling with micro and nanofat grafting techniques works in a similar way to injectable fillers, but using your own tissue. Micro and nanofat grafting can be combined with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) to enhance the regenerative effect of your fat transfer. The difference with HA fillers is that it is a minor surgical procedure with more downtime and higher costs, but it uses your own tissue with all its advantages and disadvantages.

What happens during a wrinkle treatment with hyaluronic acid?

In a detailed consultation, we analyze the disturbing changes in the face together and discuss which wrinkles should be treated. We also determine which of the skin changes described can best be treated with hyaluronic acid and which with botulinum toxin. If you wish, the wrinkle treatment can be carried out directly after the consultation. Before the injection, we apply a local anaesthetic ointment to the areas to be treated, which makes the treatment almost painless after approx. 20 minutes.

What needs to be considered after wrinkle treatment with hyaluronic acid?

The effect of the treatment is immediately visible. To avoid swelling in the first few days, the tissue is cooled with cool packs before and after the injection. The injection sites can be covered with make-up shortly after the treatment. However, you should refrain from exercising or going to the sauna for at least 48 hours. Minor swelling and bruising may still be visible for a few days. However, this can be easily concealed with make-up after two days at the latest. As hyaluronic acid is a building block identical to the body, it is completely broken down within 6-18 months.

Dr. Winterholer will examine you thoroughly during the consultation, explain the treatment options and draw up an individual treatment plan with you.
